Michael Dickinson is a SAMS Accredited Marine Surveyor serving all of Southern California. Michael Dickinson served in the US Coast Guard for 8 years most recently as a boarding officer for the US Coast Guard Reserves stationed in San Pedro, California.

I am a graduate of Chapman’s School of Seamanship for Marine Surveying and Damage Claims course, and an Accredited Marine Surveyor with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) and a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).

I have over 20 years experience as a mechanic, shipwright, USCG vessel inspector, engineer, and project manager and have been the proud owner of So Cal Surveys, llc since 2005. As a long-time boat owner I am aware of the need for quality, detailed, and timely surveys in the boating industry.
